About the Publication

Trill Mag is a non profit online magazine that allocates to the Gen Z demographic. The magazine consists of articles and artwork surrounding news, entertainment, culture, and other categories of content. As a graphic design intern the task at hand is designing artwork to accompany the articles. The article entitled: Unraveling The Mystery: Dwana Pusser’s Cause Of Death by Omar Malik is about the conspiracy behind the death of Dwana Pusser; daughter of legendary Sheriff Buford Pusser.

To depict the artwork for the article the main focus was highlighting the conspiracy of Dwana Pusser’s alleged suicide which is indicated in some details of her autopsy report. The style is meant to evoke drama, suspense, and enigma. The official image is more mysterious in showing that her death could have been allegedly suicide. As the cover image for the article, an eye-catching aspect was applied with reds and blacks representing the dark tone of it’s subject material. The secondary image illustrates a memoriam paying homage to her life, legacy, and tragic murder. Inspiration was taken from the concept artwork below which depicts the legacy that Dwana Pusser left behind. The approach being more literal with a back drop of a merging map of her birthplace and the domain of her father’s legacy. The logo of the museum is also tribute to her contribution as she advocated for law enforcement throughout her life.
