About the Publication

Trill Mag is a non profit online magazine that allocates to the Gen Z demographic. The magazine consists of articles and artwork surrounding news, entertainment, culture, and other categories of content. As a graphic design intern the task at hand is designing artwork to accompany the articles. The article entitled: 2024’s Novelty Popcorn Buckets: Cool Collectibles Or Cash-Grab by Vee Fidati is about the current phenomenon of popcorn buckets and how they attract people into the cinema.

To depict the artwork for the article the main focus was highlighting the variety of popcorn buckets of 2024. Most notably blockbusters like Dune: Part Two, Deadpool and Wolverine, and Wicked had widespread releases of buckets that shocked social media. A regal royal puple background allows the imagery to pop. The official image is a poster-like presenting a catalogue of the most interesting popcorn buckets to come out in the year. Behind the buckets is a rainstorm of money to represent the profit these items have produced. Inspiration was taken from firsthand experience of the advertising.
